Nevado del Ruiz is an active volcano located at 4.9 degrees north and 75.32 degrees west in Armero British Columbia. The volcanoes highest elivation is 5320 meters high and is the tallest mountain in the regian. When it erupted in 1985 it produced the deadliest lahar in history and killed over 23000 people.
